are used to direct to the flow of air, water, chemicals, and other substances. Hanna Rubber has divided our valves into 6 categories: ball valves, butterfly or duck valves, gate valves, checks valves, globe valves and actuated valves.These valves are configured in various ways such as , 2 way, 3 way, elliptical, etc.. Our valves can be operated manually by using a hand wheel, lever, pedal and other various methods. Hanna’s valves can also be operated automatically driven by changes in pressure, temperature, flow and electricity, which uses a more complex way to control the valves by use of an actuator as in solenoid valves. Valves are available in may materials and pressure ratings depending on your application – various plastics, brass, stainless steel and steel – from 200PSI to 10,000PSI services.
Actuated Valves
Actuated valves are valves connected to a mechanical device that allows a valve to open or close without someone having to manually turn it on or off. Actuated valves allow for greater productivity and are ideal for locations that are difficult for a manual turn on. Hanna Rubber Company offers 2 different types of actuated valves, electric and pneumatic.
Pneumatic Actuators
While the valves operate the same way using a pneumatic actuator to operate the valve, Hanna Rubber Company offers 3 different types of pneumatic actuators: 2-piece ball valves, 3-piece ball valves, and 3-way “˜T/L’ port valves.
2-piece ball valve is for an economical (standard) and easy installation use. The 2-piece ball valve offers a slight reduced bore and can be either thrown away of repairable. Offered in stainless or brass.
3-piece ball valves are designed for in-line maintenance. This design allows for easy removal from the pipe which allows you to clean out deposited sediment, repair, and buff the scratches on the ball all without removing the pipes from the body valve. While the 3-piece valve is more expensive it was designed to be repairable which may be more cost effective in the end. Only offered in stainless.
